The Scuba Diver is a subset of the Open Water Diver course. This certificate allows a diver to go at a maximum depth of 12m /40ft with a professional diver (Divemaster, Instructor) within the recreational diving limits. To be more precise, Adventure and Advanced are introductive dives of the Specialty Diver Program. That means it is possible according to the environnement and the instructor to choose some of the activities (like: Peak Performance Buoyancy, Drift, Search and Recovery, AWARE Fish Identification, Boat Diver, Enriched Air Diver, Night Diver, Wreck Diver, Underwater Naturalist, Deep Diver, Underwater Navigator).

This course is focused on self and other divers safety. The diver learn which are the possible things might could go wrong, recognise them and how to handle them. However the real idea is to learn how to avoid them with anticipation and communication. The student learns as well how to organize a search and all the steps for rescuing the victim and the different logistical possibilities to get the diver as soon as possible at the hospital or the chamber (emergency plan). This course make a lot of sence once a diver is enough self confident scuba diving and is able to handle his own issues and start to get interested in otherpeople safety. EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE

This course teaches you the steps and techniques for handling life-threatening emergencies. You’ll practice eight skills for aiding patients who aren’t breathing, have no heartbeat, may have a spinal injury, may be in shock or who may have serious bleeding. You’ll learn to how to perform CPR and continue to monitor the patient, so that you provide every possible chance of survival while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive.

You’ll learn to assess a variety of injuries and illnesses and practice bandaging and splinting.

The defibrillator starts to be avaliable in many public places around the world. You will learn how to use properly an AED.

This course allows participants to learn, practice and apply emergency care skills adapted to infants and children with medical emergencies. It’s usually integrated in the primary care and secondary care course.
